About

Even though stage hypnotists and TV shows have damaged the public image of hypnosis, a growing body of scientific research supports its benefits in treating a wide range of conditions, including pain, depression, anxiety and phobias. What most people worry about when visualising hypnotherapy is not the treatment itself, but the state of hypnosis. People worry that they are made to do things that they normally wouldn’t do. These fears stem from the sensationalist work of showmen, stage hypnotherapists, who in order to make money use the name of hypnosis to mystify their tricks. It is always surprising for my patients how natural the state of hypnosis is and also how they are always in control of what they do and say. There is no need to use flashing lights, pendulums, looking into my eyes and there is no hypno frog in sight. You are always in control, dignified and informed throughout this pleasant treatment.
